Happy Friday! I hope your 2018 is off to a great start! I’m planning out my projects for the next two months and I’m so excited to bring you new content and ideas for your home.
I am so proud of the projects I made in 2017 and I wanted to take a look back at some of my favorites:
DIY Furniture
I moved this year and challenged myself to build my own furniture! I (with the help of my boyfriend and dad) turned one 8′ x 4′ sheet of plywood into 5 pieces of furniture. It took a lot of work and I don’t know how soon I’d do it again, but it was so worth it when I get to say “I made this”. Check out my Coffe Table, Vanity Stool & Night Stands. We also made a little bookcase but I never made a post for it.
Baby Playmat
This project is very special to me because it was a gift for a friend. I actually ended up making her two playmats because I couldn’t decide which fabric I liked more. Check it out here and make your own for the perfect baby shower gift.
Suede Pillows
Although this is a super simple project compared to the ones above, this was my first sewing project with a zipper. My sewing skills have grown so much in the last year and I’m so proud of myself. Check out this suede pillowcase here.
Sewing
Like I said, I am so proud of myself with how far my sewing skills have come in the last year. I sewed a shirt from a pattern, a simple dress, eyelet shorts, a cardigan and a few other projects I started but didn’t finish just yet. I am really excited to continue my sewing journey in 2018.
What were your favorite projects? Let me know what you’d like to see more of or what new ideas and inspiration you’re looking for.
