A Narwhal Baby Shower

If you don’t already know, I work for an e-commerce party company, but I never actually get to throw parties. So when my coworker announced her pregnancy, I was so excited to throw her a shower! I teamed up with three of my coworker friends to put the shower together and I love how it turned out.

None of us had ever made a diaper cake before, but one girl took on the challenge and it turned out soooo cute! It was definitely easier to make than I thought, and this is only two small packs of diapers.

One of the girls is a designer and created two narwhals for us. One is the narwhal you see on the cake topper (above) and we also used it as wall confetti and strung some from the ceiling. The other is this amazing hand carved stamp she made. We used the stamp to create custom table cloths and wish cards for guests to fill out.

We used this colorful Cheeky set of cups and plates and Target gold plastic flatware.

I put myself in charge of the activities because I really wanted to do this iron-on onesie decorating! I found packs of cute iron-on patches and hand-dyed white onesies to the colors we wanted. I thought this activity would take longer for 15 people to do, but it only took about 20-25 minutes.

Don’t you just love it?! I do wish I could have found cute narwhal patches but the ones we used were really cute. I like this more than using markers because you’re almost guaranteed to have cute onesies in the end.
