Happy Monday! I’m starting off the week right with a yummy (and pretty) recipe! This is the last recipe in my Dragon Fruit series. Check out my Dragon Fruit Simple Syrup and Ombré Prosecco.
This Dragon Fruit Mango Salsa is the perfect dip for your end of summer parties. It has fun colors and texture from the mango and dragon fruit.
Here’s what you need:
- 1 mango, diced
- 1 dragon fruit, diced
- 1/2 red bell pepper, diced
- 1 hand full cilantro, minced
- 1/2 red onion, diced
- 1/2 lime juice
- chili pepper of your liking (optional)
I am a wimp when it comes to heat, but a chili pepper would be a great addition to this salsa. The dragon fruit doesn’t offer a ton of flavor, but it’s still there. I noticed the dragon fruit flavor more after I let the salsa sit overnight in the fridge. This is very similar to a mango salsa, but the dragon fruit tones down the sweetness in my opinion.
This was great with regular tortilla chips and would be great with seafood tacos! My family ate up a whole bowl in no time.
Let me know if you try this recipe and what you think!
