Making The World A Better Place

Today, I am focusing on positivity. I am focusing on being the change I want to see in the world and protecting what is being threatened by the incoming administration. After the election, I had every intention of writing a blog about my thoughts and feelings, but every time I started, I couldn’t put my thoughts in a straight line.

So here is my attempt – more as an oath to myself rather than a blog for my readers – to focus on what I can do to make the world a better place every day, and especially in the next four years.

I do solemnly swear to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States to ensure…women’s rights and healthcare are governed by women, members of the LQBTQ community are loved and valued, people are judged by their mind and heart not by the color of their skin or the language they speak, the earth is taken care of, education is an equal opportunity for all, our veterans are treated with the care they need and that gun violence is not the new norm.

Today I focus on what I can do. I can learn more. I can speak up more. I can love more. This morning I donated to the ACLU and Planned Parenthood.

Tomorrow, although I cannot attend the Women’s March, I stand in solidarity with all who do.
