I’m only two months late, but I finally finished putting together my entryway! I love how this space turned out so much, and it’s my favorite part of my apartment now.
If you haven’t already, check out my design plan to see my dream for this space. I was going for a very serene space, with natural elements and a toned-down color palette. It immediately makes me feel calm when I step inside my apartment.

I started off the space with this brass mirror to help bring light into the space, and to create the perfect spot to check myself before leaving the house. I used to have this mirror in my bedroom but it was the perfect size and style for the hallway.
The rug and shoe cabinet are both from ikea. I dressed the cabinet up with a quick DIY (coming soon) to give it some color and personality. Something to note, my boyfriend’s size 11 shoes do not fit in the cabinet. If you have big feet and want this cabinet – check the dimensions before you buy it.
I really wanted to add color to the space without painting since I’m in a rental. I found this amazing solid color peel & stick paint/wallpaper in the shade Shale Green that was just what I was looking for. I ran it about halfway up the wall, then added a DIY floating shelf and watercolor paintings to finish it off.
That’s it! I absolutely love it, and it brings me so much joy when I come home. I’ll share the DIYs soon, I’m just finishing up the video but I couldn’t wait to post the finished design.
