Happy Halloween! I don’t know about you, but I feel like Halloween already passed since I did all of my celebrating over the weekend. I will be carving my pumpkin tonight and possibly handing out candy – I’m not sure if we’ll get many trick-or-treaters.
For my Halloween costume I decided on Kimmy Schmidt from Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. I picked up nearly all of my costume necessities from the thrift store. I found a bright floral pattern dress, yellow jacket and purple backpack for about $15.
I also made some shrinky dink pins to make my costume a little more obvious since I didn’t find clothes that actually matched the character. In my haste to make them, I didn’t proof read … ALWAYS PROOF READ! Coming from a journalism background I am very disappointed in myself, but hey, it happens.
That’s it! I paired everything with pink tights, bright pink blush and colorful shoes. I do wish I was able to find pink pants and a top that more closely resembled what she wears, but oh well!
