I feel like I am late to the trend of black charcoal, but I’m there now! I made these black charcoal cocktails for the Beau-coup Favors blog using black charcoal simple syrup using a similar method as my dragon fruit simple syrup.
By using the simple syrup, you are able to create this ombré look that you couldn’t achieve with just black food coloring or by mixing in the charcoal straight to the drink. I just added the syrup to a moscow mule to make it Halloween themed.
I also made a fun Halloween strawberry milk with strawberry simple syrup.
I used a fruit juice powder to make the strawberry simple syrup and poured it in a cup of milk.
