Learning Calligraphy

At the start of 2016, I decided I wanted to learn a few new skills this year. The first on my list: modern calligraphy.

I picked up this Brit+Co Calligraphy kit to get me started and found some example sheets online. Here is my first attempt:

Bad – very bad! I practiced a few hours a week, read a few blogs, bought some other nibs and bought a different paper pad – and here we are two months later:

I happy with my progress thus far, and i’m having fun testing different fonts to emulate until I pick one I really like. I never would consider myself as someone who has nice handwriting, so I am really proud of my calligraphy.
