Rental Revamp: Office Reveal

After several months, I’m finally (95%) done with my home office! This has been a long process, mostly because I was undecided about putting more holes in the wall. I still have a few more things to do (get plants, decorate the shelf) but for the most part, it’s done and I love it.

The room is split evenly down the middle – half for my boyfriend’s desk and shoe collection, and half for my desk and craft collection. We put up a giant shelf to hold all the shoes, so I ended up hanging a shelf on my side to match.

I love how long my desk is an how much space I have to lay things out. I can have my laptop and notebooks out while also using my Cricut or sewing machine. The most important thing was to have a home for all of my machines so they never had to live on the floor.

Most of my wall art is from Etsy, including this cat line drawing and succulent calendar. I made the Create sign with my Cricut, and painted the scissor art. The lake picture is also from Etsy. All will be linked below.

My boyfriend’s side of the room is dedicated to his shoe collection. I am just happy they are off of the floor. We built this custom shelf to hold most of his collection. It’s not as neat looking as I’d like because we had to add a lot of reinforcements to make sure it wouldn’t fall. He also has two cool pieces of art – a drawing of Deadpool that a friend made, and a Spiderman cover made of painted glass.

And that’s it! There are still small things I need to do to finish off the room, but I am so happy with how it turned out and I find myself spending a lot more time in the office now.
